2nd place in Qualifying, bad race results.
Free practise and qualifying were very good for me last weekend, but the races were not good enough. The first race I finished 5th after my teammate Rene Busscher spun in front of me; we both lost several places and we finished 4th and 5th.
The 2nd (wet) race looked extremely good for both of us; halfway the race we were in 2nd and 3rd position, but in the last lap of the race I braked 200 meters before the 'S'curve, but there was oil and I spun off. I did drive the fastest lap in the race, so overall I'm satisfied with the result!

August 7th, 10.50 Fastest laptime in morning practise!
I'm very satisfied after my first practise session after 1 year of not driving. 1st position in free practise; 0,3 sec. gap with number 2. Speed is still here, makes me happy!

Recovering and 2010
My recovery after the crash at August 15th goes slow! My neck muscles are too weak to carry my head a full day without troubles, not even mentioning driving a racecar with 3G on your neck. So.. 2010 doesn't look to good for me; not nice for the company I work for, nor for me.
But I do look forward to the 2010 season and talked to John Moritz about competing in the Dutch Supercar Challenge in the supersport 2 class with Marcos. Possibilities are there.. car is waiting for me, now I have to recover fast enough and find the Budget.
If you are interested in my project, please contact me; info at the contact page.

Race 4, Zandvoort, August 15th
I qualified very good, in 3rd position, 0,2 seconds behind pole position. The start of the first race was very bad because I seemed to be sleeping and missed it completely, but after a good race I finished in 3rd place.
The 2nd race started at least as bad as the first race; a Saker driver (Oscar Wilkens) wasn't able to get away from the start grid and I hit the back of his car driving 150 km/ hour. Car is totally destroyed and I ended up in the hospital. I'm doing good at the moment! The 2009 is over; we have to built a new car.

Race 3, June 17th, Zolder, Belgium
After just 4 laps of practise I managed to qualify in 2nd position with a laptime of 1.58.4 which was more than I expected. Race 1 I finished in 3rd place after a good battle with Gunther Nuyts. Race 2 I finished in 4th spot after a crash together with Patrick Verkerk in the Jacky Ickx chicane. Right now I'm in 3rd position in the championship.

7th race of the season, Assen, 3rd place
The days before the event we had to work hard on the car because of several troubles we had with the new engine and the exhaust.
Tuesday morning the alarm clock went of the 3.30. The trip to Assen took us 2 hours 45 minutes. After a bad qualifying (7th position) I finished in 5th and 3rd position and a 3rd overall position.
In the first race I drove the fastest laptime. Again a very good result! thanks to the team!
Next race: Zandvoort, september 13/14th, Harc Grand Prix.

2nd race of 2008, Harc 1
The past weekend was an acceptional good weekend for Giallo racing! I drove pole position and finished 3rd in the first race. In the 2nd race I was involved in a crash trying to overtake 3rd place. The 3rd race on sunday, I had to start on 15th place but managed to finish 4th! My mechanics had to work really hard to get the car ready for this final race and I'm proud of the crew!
You can read here (Dutch) what the team members say about the past weekend.
